Alex is the award-winning author of Writing An Identity Not Your Own, Half Outlaw, and Secrets of the Casa Rosada. The Mixed Latine author received her MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Central Oklahoma and has had creative writing pieces appear in anthologies like Living Beyond Borders: Growing Up Mexican in America and Speculative Fiction for Dreamers: A Latinx Anthology, as well as magazines and journals like the Colorado Review, PALABRITAS, D Magazine, and more. She has provided presentations on her writing craft book to the likes of Macmillan Publishers, StoryStudio Chicago, the Women's Fiction Writer's Association, the Writer's League of Texas, and more. Based in Dallas, Alex also works as a travel and product journalist, which means she's either traveling the world for an article or sleeping on a mattress to tell you why you should or shouldn't buy it. Beyond writing, Alex is a plant propagating queen, loves ancient history and upcycling clothes, and is obsessed with her 105 year old house that used to be haunted by a 19 year old ghost.
